I never knew...

So im doing more of my research and wondering about a few things ( actually a lot of things but I suppose I should do this one at a time). Well I have always wanted to host a wine & cheese party! but, I had no idea that you shouldn't serve cheese with a good wine. Apparently the cheese with its heavy flavor and texture will make you tongue unable to fully taste the richness of wine!! hmmm...but I guess if your wine has seen better days cheese will help it taste better! so next time you are offered a buffet of cheeses with your wine at a party you may want to turn it down, unless the wine isn't up to par : )

75 grapes = 1 cluster

...Just so you can visualize how many grapes you are pouring into your typical glass! 75 grapes!! Kind of cool to know.



Another little fun tidbit for all you that drink wine at special celebrations such as a wedding...



In ancient Babylon, the bride's father would supply his son-in-law with all the mead (fermented honey beverage) he could drink for a month after the wedding!! ( nice gift, I would take that!) Because their calendar was moon-based, this period of free mead was called the "honey month," or what we now call the "honeymoon." Now, im not sure about you, but I LOVE weddings and everything to do with them and I had no idea thats where Honeymoon came from!

The Beginning!

Hi there! This is actually my first blog and im really excited about starting this! My title is a clue as to what I will be blogging about...any guesses? If you guessed Life, your correct! If you guessed wine, you are also correct!

In my recent years I have become a wine lover, but it has some to my attendtion that I know nothing about wine! Besides my few favorites ( which happen to be on the extremely cheap end of the wine world because in college thats all I could afford :) I am a wine newbie! Another thing about myself is that I have started a wine glass painting business out of my infatuation with wine! As my business took off, I had more and more exposure to the wine world and instantly fell in love with wanting to know more! I will admit I do not know the differences between most of the delicious variations, but im determined to! And if your anything like me learning new things seem fun & exciting at first, but can easily turn into feeling like an agonizing classroom! So i'm going to make this constantly interesting so not even I will get distracted by that shiny object in my view!

I will be blogging about wine facts I come across, news, definitions, as well as life that seems to be constantly surrounding the world of wine! I hope you enjoy my amusing point of view and remember, Life is Like Wine <3
